The Supreme Cat Show 2003 was held at the NEC,
Birmingham, on 29th November.
Our club table got quite a bit of interest with
many people enquiring about the breed. On the table were assorted leaflets,
trophies to be won, and a lovely Turkish dessert which visitors were
invited to sample before leaving with their complementary fluffy bug!
Assisting on the club table in club row was our
regular Turkish Van, Febair Debdebeli Genc, A.K.A. Yilmaz, owned by Irene Ford.
Here
he is, looking very regal!
Visitors were also charmed by two delightful kittens,
Yenicizgi Zaha and
Yenicizgi Enfes (A.K.A. Yildiz), both bred by Marianne Upham
Here is Marianne holding Yildiz

. . . and this is Zaha, a little more bashful.
Congratulations to Gr. Ch. Chuasiri Salim, who did very well
on the day.
He got his first UK Grand Certificate, won Best of Breed (Adult), and came
a close second in the Best of Variety judging.
He is owned and bred by Jo and Phil Wardale.
Also gracing the showbenches was Gr. Pr. Tansdale Vantastic. He came
fourth in his UK Grand class and won Best of Breed (Neuter). He is
owned and bred by Suzann Lloyd.
Last but not least, the only other Turk competing
on the day was Chuasiri Ayfer, who won her second Challenge Certificate in
the pre-Champion class.
She is bred by Jo and Phil Wardale and owned by Nicky Goulter.
A big thank you to everyone who helped out with club
table, and also those who could not make it on the day, but whose
behind-the-scenes efforts ensured that it would be a success.
